Developing professionalism, capability, and accountability in the governance of the
university as well as the independence of the institution to conduct higher education.


The Bachelor of Architecture program currently has not fulfilled the international recognition as mandated by UIA for Architecture Education. Graduates of the Bachelor of Architecture Program who will continue to the professional level, need to apply the Professional Program of Architect (PPAr) as a program of 4+1 year (under processed) and the Master of Architecture Program (MArs) – design/ professional (4+ 2 year) which are organized by the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro

Bachelor of Architecture admission was being structured by Undip on PMB bachelor. Furthermore, the University has provided opportunity to the graduates of Bachelor of Architecture to apply the higher study level to the Master of Architecture Program (MArs) – design/ professional through the Program Pas Pasca Sarjana (Graduate Program) as mentioned in the web page of new post graduate student admission

Refer to the vision and mission to become an Excellent Department of Architecture at the International level based on research in 2024, the Program Education Objectives of the bachelor’s Program of Architecture are to create:

1. Graduates who are able to design comprehensively by considering: systems and relationships between communities with local wisdom and heritage, community and design for all (inclusive design), people, environment, and sustainability (green architecture), and tourism.

2. Graduates who adhere to the ethical standards of architectural designers referring to research on local wisdom and heritage, inclusive design, green architecture, and tourism.

 

The Intended Learning Outcomes has covered both the generic and Specific Learning Outcomes. The Intended Program learning outcomes (PLO) are basic for developing an educational system for undergraduate program in the BPA. The generic competences refer to the COmPLETE which is applied by the university for all students. The COmPLETE stands for :

GEN-01 COMmunicator, means graduate who able to communicate verbally and in writing
GEN-02 Professional, means works according to principles, development is based on merit and upholds a code of ethics
GEN-03 Leader means graduates who are adaptive, responsive to the environment, proactive, motivator, and able to work cooperatively
GEN-04 Entrepreneur means graduates who have a high work ethic, entrepreneurial skills, innovation, independence
GEN-05 Thinker means graduates who have critical thinking, lifelong learning, able to be researchers
GEN-06 Educator, graduates who able to be the agents of change

The BPA determines 8 specific competences based on UIA (Union Internationale des Architect) and IAI (Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia/ Indonesian Architects Association) which are considered as program Learning Outcomes. More specifically, the graduates should have :

Cognitive (Knowledge)
PLO-01 Adequate knowledge of culture, histories, theories of architecture, and human sciences
PLO-02 Knowledge of fine arts which influence the quality of architectural design related to space organizations, form, and order
PLO-03 Adequate knowledge about local climate and sustainable architectural design
PLO-04 Knowledge in understanding the structural design, construction, and engineering problems related to building design
Psychomotoric
PLO-05 Ability to design considering the relation between people, buildings and environments
PLO-06 Ability to make architectural report as a basic for design project
PLO-07 Skill to design building concerning cost factors, project management and building regulations
Competency
PLO-08 Knowledge in understanding the profession ethics and the role of architects in the society
